Review of "Koi"
Our next stop was KOI, a brand from Taiwan, a country famous for their bubble tea. I find their name very interesting as then it is rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise, is forms the word "豆",which means bean in Chinese. It think in this case, they refer to the delicious and chewy pearls in their drinks. It is located at Marine Parade Central, in between shops which sell groceries to clothes.

The shop looks attractive from the outside, having a high class feel and well maintained. There was a large crowd, and as Singaporeans who are attracted to crowds, we assume that KOI's drinks would be of high quality due to the large number of people. There were benches in front of the stall, for customers to sit, which we felt was a great service, as we could sit and enjoy our drinks. There was also chinese pop music playing from the inside which added points to their ambiance. However, even though there was air-conditioning from the inside, the customers waiting outside had to endure the stuffiness:( Something interesting to note was that the shop was very organised, they had queue numbers, and the numbers would flash on a LED Display.

The staff of the shop was also quite amusing, even though they were reluctant to let us flim them, in the end she cashier still agreed. It can be seen that she was quite nervous in the video clip! haha! They offered different sugar levels, which is a very innovative idea, as different people have different preferences.

We ordered a cup of milk tea with 100% sugar(which was TOO sweet), and it came with a generous serving of pearls too! Yum! The straws were nicely packed in individual packaging, giving consumers the hygenic feel.
Compared to the other 2 shops, there was a lesser range of products and they are priced at a high price too. With the cheapest at $1.90 to the most expensive at $6.70! Not really affordable for students. We also managed to get comments from the customers around, who rated the drink an average of 4/5 and the shop enviroment a 3/5. They also commented that the service was quite slow.
Overall rating: 4/5
with truckloads of pearls ♥
